Danskin Mountain OHV Area Trails: With over 160 miles of trails on over 60,000 acres, this area has some of breathtaking views of the valley. The ground is majority hard packed and sandy trails twisting through the high desert brush with some random patches of trees, water crossings and large canyons sand washes. These trails will consist of easy to difficult in navigating. Before setting out for Danskin trails, contact the park to get the scoop on weather and trail conditions.
Boise Foothills ATV Ride: Best accessed from a motorized vehicle lot off of 8th street, the Boise Foothills Loop presents the off-road rider with 26.5 miles of long, steep climbs and descents. Enjoy the Boise Foothills and the Boise Ridge, but watch for the descent, which can be tricky and deceptive and will require some skills.
Ridge to Rivers Trail System: Located minutes away from Boise, the Ridge to Rivers Trail System mainly consists of hiking, mountain biking and horse riding trails, but does offer a few designated OHV loop trails. With steep grades and off camber turns, these trails are primarily for the more advanced riders. Two trails opened to motorized vehicles are the Curlew Connector #6 and 8th Street Motorcycle Trail #4.

Cutting across switchbacks can greatly increase soil erosion and destroy trails and landscapes. Designated OHV trails are available with varying degrees of challenges from easy to expert in Boise. There really isn't a reason to venture off trails or going cross-country with your atvs and 4x4s. OHV trails can be located via map with the National Forest Services. As well as State of Idaho Endowment land or BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. Last but not least, breaking of national or state park laws can result in hefty fines and penalties. In addition, government agencies could take away our beautiful trails due to the ignorance of a few. Let's be safe and make sure we're aware of the laws and rules before heading out.
