Welcome To Eagle Idaho,
settled between the foothills and the Boise River, located approximately 9 miles northwest of Boise along State Highway 44. Eagle is considered an "upscale" area with some homes and ranches costing over a million dollars. Eagle's population is close to 24,000 residents and has been growing for several years. Eagle offers its residents many options for shopping, great restaurants, lodging and other services.
Idaho's largest school district,
the Meridian School District, serves the area in and around Eagle. In the Meridian district, elementary schools include kindergarten through 5th grade, middle school includes 6th through 8th grade and high school includes grades 9th through 12th. Eagle has multiple elementary schools including the highly rated Galileo Math and Science Magnet school which is located between Eagle and Meridian but is available to Eagle residents. Eagle Middle School and Lowell Scott Middle School and Eagle High School, located west of town, service the students in the Eagle area.
Eagle is a very family-focused community and sponsors several family events including Eagle Fun Days, an annual event held in July. During the event, the Eagle Volunteer Fire Department puts on the "World's Largest Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed" as a fund raiser for the organization. Crowds from the entire treasure valley come to enjoy in the festivities.
